Riverside Project

EDC’s Reinforced Concrete Products for Waterline Square Buildings 1, 3 & 4

Project Overview

The transformation of an old Penn Central rail yard into the Riverside Center master-planned community has taken nearly two decades.

This upscale residential development brought a new collection of high-rise buildings to Manhattan’s West Side, creating a modern urban community with residential towers, open spaces, and high-end living environments.

The final trio of buildings, named Waterline Square, broke ground in 2015 and were built simultaneously.

Their completion was scheduled for 2019, marking an important milestone in the overall Riverside Center development.

EDC's Role

EDC was selected to provide solutions for the cast-in-place concrete shoring and formwork requirements for Waterline Square Buildings 1, 3 & 4.

Using its extensive inventory, EDC supplied frame shoring, post shores, Sonotubes, and additional reinforced concrete support products required for the project.

EDC also provided the Screen Saver perimeter protection system on Building 3, helping support safety and efficiency during construction.

With multiple buildings being built at the same time, EDC’s equipment and field support helped the construction team manage complex scheduling, active site coordination, and reinforced concrete construction needs.
