Record-Breaking 220 Central Park South Chooses EDC’s Frame Shoring Solutions

Project Overview

The residential high-rise building at 220 Central Park South is famed in New York City for its imposing stance over Central Park and its record-breaking condo and penthouse sales.

One of the latest skyscrapers to be built in the “Billionaire’s Row” area, 220 Central Park South rises 952 feet and is estimated to be the tenth tallest building in the city.

The project features a cast-in-place concrete tower and required dependable shoring support to assist construction through major high-rise building phases.

EDC's Role

EDC was selected as the frame shoring supplier for 220 Central Park South, providing shoring solutions to support the building’s cast-in-place concrete construction.

Construction began in 2015, topped out in the summer of 2017, and was set to be completed in 2019.

EDC’s involvement helped support the project’s structural construction needs with reliable frame shoring equipment designed for demanding high-rise conditions.
